SlayerQuest - The Cleric

The cleric is a devout, divine spellcaster. The cleric calls upon powerful divine forces to vanquish evil, the undead, and demons. The cleric is a pure spellcaster, specializing in healing spells, defensive spells, and spells to combat evil, undead, and demons. The cleric has relatively poor combat skills, but can wear heavy armor without limiting her powerful spellcasting abilities. Clerics are the only class capable of wearing Holy Symbols. Half-Ogres and Kobolds are not pious enough to becom clerics. The cleric's main characteristics are:

Cleric's have some weaknesses. They have the worst missile capabilities with a bad starting dexterity and the worst missile combat progression. They barely manage in melee combat with low strength and marginal melee combat progression. Their spells are very specialized. No character is better suited to tackling all of the manifestations of evil than the cleric. And for all of their offensive struggles, the cleric is quite durable.
